Dunleavy, Los Angeles Clippers sever ties (AP)


LOS ANGELES – Mike Dunleavy is out as general manager of the Los Angeles Clippers, barely a month after relinquishing his head coaching duties..

The team announced it severed ties with Dunleavy late Tuesday afternoon in an e-mail. Assistant general manager Neil Olshey will take over Dunleavy's job..

The team says in a statement that it hasn't made sufficient progress during Dunleavy's seven years, and the Clippers want to win now..

The Clippers are 12th in the Western Conference standings with a 25-38 record and have lost three in a row. They are just 7-24 on the road..

Dunleavy stepped down as head coach on Feb. 4, and was replaced by assistant Kim Hughes.
